What is a VA Home Loan?

A young girl sprints towards her father, an African-American man donning the distinguished attire of a military uniform. Her arms are wide open, mirroring the grin that stretches across her face. Her outfit is a medley of childhood favorites: a white T-shirt, a frilly pink tutu, and trusty blue jeans. The soldier, her father, is a blur in the background, only the back of his head and a sliver of his shoulder visible, but his arms are outstretched, ready to embrace his little girl.

A VA home loan is an exclusive benefit for eligible military service members and veterans. VA home loans are backed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and provided through qualified lenders like Johnson Financial Group.

Who is eligible?

Two distinguished veterans, brothers-in-arms, share a moment of camaraderie on a peaceful pier. To the left, a gentleman of the greatest generation, his cap a testament to his service in WWII and Korea, a warm smile gracing his face. To the right, a Vietnam Veteran, his cap a symbol of a different era, yet the bond of service unites them. Both men, in their own way, embody the spirit of duty and honor.
